Keith Edwards, MD Keith Edwards, MD, is Assistant Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School, Boston and Director of the Multiple Sclerosis Center of Southern Vermont in Bennington, Vermont. He is board certified in neurology.
After earning his medical degree from Duke Medical School, Durham, NC, Dr. Edwards completed a medical internship at Boston City Hospital and a neurology residency at the University of Vermont School of Medicine, Burlington, Vermont. There Dr. Edwards trained under Dr. George Schumacher and Dr. Charles Poser, both world famous multiple sclerosis researchers.
Dr. Edwards has been involved with multiple sclerosis evaluation, treatment and research for 30 years. He has been involved in NIH supported research in neurotransmitters and multicentered treatment trials. Dr. Edwards has served on many scientific advisory committees and editorial boards. His work has been published in numerous scientific journals including Neurology, Archives of Neurology, and Biochemical Pharmacology. He is also the author of book chapters and many Internet articles. He has lectured nationally and internationally.
Dr. Edwards in a Active Member of the American Academy of Neurology, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers (CMSC) and many other neurological societies. The Multiple Sclerosis Center of Southern Vermont is a nationally recognized Comprehensive Care Center by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Dr. Edwards meets with actress Terri Garr at a recent luncheon of Women Against MS, Central Massachusetts Chapter. Ms. Garr was diagnosed with MS in 1999 and is an ambassador for MS LifeLines, an educational and support service for people living with MS. The luncheon was held at the Beechwood Hotel in Worcester, Massachusetts, on November 30, 2006
